College Crimes

There is no legal definition of a “college crimes”.  However, there are some crimes that we see more frequently with our college aged clients.  Some of the typical charges we see are reckless driving, driving under the influence, under age possession of alcohol, and drug related charges more often.  College is usually the first time many people leave their homes for an extended period of time.  The transition can be difficult to say the least.

There is additional considerations when a young adult has been charged with a crime.  Not only the usual stress and concern, but also potential repercussions with the school.  Some of these additional repercussions include suspension, honor code violations, and loss of scholarship funding.  All of these factors lead to stress for the client and the family.  If you or your child has been charged with a crime contact the lawyers of Jurach, Tacey & Quitiquit.  Our attorney’s have decades of experience represented young adults from all of the schools across Virginia.
