Tony Quitiquit

Attorney

Tony concentrates his legal practice on criminal law, including serious charges like felonies, misdemeanors, DUI, and reckless driving tickets. Mr. Quitiquit grew up a Virginia native in Emporia and Chesterfield.   He graduated from Hampden Sydney with a B.A. in political science. Tony was also a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and was selected to be a part of the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest. Tony earned the James Madison Public Service Certificate by completing coursework and interning at the office of Congressman Randy Forbes. After his time at Hampden Sydney, Mr. Quitiquit moved to Richmond and worked in Richmond, Henrico, and Hanover before deciding to go to law school.  After living in the city for a number of years, he moved to Hanover County.

He earned his juris doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2011.  While in Charleston Tony served as Secretary for the Student Bar Association. He also served as an Ambassador for the school and completed over 500 hours of community service.  He passed the bar on his first attempt, and has been admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Tony started his legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Halifax, Virginia. After a year of prosecuting in Halifax, he moved to Richmond and worked again as an assistant Commonwealth’s attorney in Hanover. While serving as an Assistant Commonwealth’s attorney, Tony worked on all types of criminal traffic matters, from DUI, reckless driving to Distribution and Malicious Wounding cases. He worked in Juvenile and Domestic Relations, General District, and Circuit Court handling everything from basic misdemeanors to complex felonies.

Tony decided to leave the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney to start the legal defense firm Jurach, Tacey & Quitiquit.  Mr. Quitiquit got married and moved to Rockville, in Hanover County.  He concentrates his practice on criminal defense and traffic work. Mr. Quitiquit handles traffic and criminal cases in all Courts in Virginia.  Additionally, Mr. Quitiquit works as a Guardian ad Litem representing juveniles.  Mr. Quitiquit has won numerous awards for his work.  Including being named a Super Lawyer five years in a row, an honor awarded to less than 2.5% of lawyers in Virginia.  He uses his experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney to aggressively defend his criminal clients in courts around Virginia.
